7. Vienna Has Gay-Friendly Water

Day 7
Location 2: Vienna
Nov. 7, 2022

Fun Fact: Vienna is considered Austria's queer capital. The city stands as a pillar of progressive thinking going back to the late 19th century. As you walk around Vienna, you might find rainbow crossings, rainbow benches, and many rainbow flags on public buildings.

Of course, I support all of this wholeheartedly. But at some point it's a little much:

(I'm kidding obviously. I spent like 20 minutes just staring at this beautiful rainbow/water-fountain combo.)
Speaking of which, for lunch I went to a pizzeria that had Negroni Spagliato with Prosecco on the menu. IYKYK.

There is a direct relationship between How Far You Are From Home and How Close You Feel To An Acquaintance.
I met up with Helena, a friend of a friend of a friend, who lives in Vienna. I was 4,200 miles from home and so–in accordance with the graph above–it felt like we were old pals getting together after years apart. We all got drunk at Prosecco Bar, a white-girl heaven where they (mostly) only serve Prosecco.
