91. Seeing "U2" Up Close

Day 91
Location 17: Dublin
Jan. 30, 2023

Dublin is famous for their fish and chips. The oldest and most famous fish and chips spot since 1913 is Leo Burdock. The list of celebrities they've served is as long as it is curious. Some of the picks are UK legends: "U2" (most famous Irish band), "Timothy Dalton" (i.e. James Bond), "Patrick Stewart" (knighted in 2010). All of those feel right, like an Irish guy falling out of a bar.

As my eyes wandered, I couldn't help but wonder how some of these names made their way onto the list: "Johnny Knoxville" (a man who once had five children kick him in the testicles in rapid succession), "Aslan" (a fictional lion from a young adult book series) (also an 80's Irish rock band, but I doubt that's who they mean), and–my personal favorite because it's so, so stupid–"The Crew of the MTV Awards". Something about all of those feels off, like an Irish guy walking out of a bar.
