Day 73
Location 16: London
Jan. 12, 2023
There's a few stereotypes in America about British people. Of course most of them are not true, like that they have bad teeth or that their food is terrible or that when they talk it sounds like "my tubby wubbies got slonked in a blippy bop, innit". Actually that last one's pretty accurate. Anyway, another assumption is that they're totally consumed by the Royal Family. But if you actually go to Britain, you'll find that's not the case. It's not like people on the Underground are using every free second to whip out their phone for the chance to catch even a glimpse of a Prince Harry interview. Oh wait...
Watch the video for the moment when I saw Prince Harry in London.
In many other cities I've visited sites that have been featured in movies, like Before Sunrise in Vienna and Inception in Paris. Today, I visited the spot where MI6 is blown up in Skyfall (2012).
Having seen the movie, I was prepared to spring into James Bond action and help out if the building were to explode in real life. Unfortunately, the opportunity didn't arise. (Is "unfortunately" the right word here?) However, I did unknowingly travel to a serendipitous Underground stop on my way back home.
